Fat Man’s Squeeze, Deer Lake. Fat Man’s Squeeze is a series of naturally created caves and rock formations that are really narrow in places, and fun to squeeze through. Ever since I got into photography, I wanted to get some photographs that capture what its like to be inside.
Sunset over Deer Lake. I was standing by the lake with some counselors and lifeguards during my first visit this summer while we watched this beautiful sunset.
My favorite photo from Deer Lake this summer. It’s amazing how beautiful a small swampy area in the woods can look when the sun comes through the trees late in the day.
I’ve been playing around lately with different ways of stitching together panoramas. I get bored with reality, and start trying to warp the world to make distant object appear near each other. Or, in this photo, I show whats ahead and whats behind.
The swimming area at Deer Lake. I have spent nearly every summer of my life at this camp, as a camper, counselor, and director. I’ve always felt that the swimming area is the heart of Deer Lake, and I think photo captures what it feels like when I’m there.
New London Ledge Light. I took a tour of this lighthouse a few weeks ago and it ranks among one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I dream of living in a place like this, physically isolated from the rest of the world (but with a fantastic cell signal)
